                  CONTAMINANT REDUCTION

                  HIGH INTENSITY MAGNET SEPARATORS
                  Used to remove magnetic or paramagnetic contaminants, usually <45 microns. Typical contaminants: titania, sulphites, iron oxides, metallic iron

                  WESTECH CLARIFIERS
                  Separation of flocculated solids (mineral or biological) by gravity. Sludge solids maximized by bottom and rake designed specifically for process.

                  • Up to 50' diameter x 8' straight-wall.
                  • 5-hp drives, with torque sensor controlled rake positioning.
                  • Stainless wetted components available.
                  • Rates are specific to the process.
                  • Reliable process rate and efficiency predicted from laboratory evaluation.

                  IMPEX FLOTATION CONDITIONERS AND CELLS
                  Separation and removal of reagent conditioned contaminants, usually by rendering the contaminant hydrophobic and providing appropriate carrier to surface. The IMPEX process relies on high-intensity conditioning to reduce the reagent load. The flotation cells rely on a large volume (relative to flow rate) to ensure stability. These are low supervisory systems.

                  • Multi-stage, up-flow conditioners.
                  • Large-volume, single-chambered, deep-well, aerated flotation cells.
                  • Reliable process rate and efficiency predicted from laboratory evaluation.

                  IMPEX CONTINUOUS LEACHING SYSTEMS
                  Typically a water-borne, two-stage process using a chemical reaction to solubilize the targeted contaminant which can then be removed by filtration.

                  • Rates to 100 tph per line at concentrations dependent upon the viscous character of the slurry.
                  • Stainless steel construction.
                  • Compact.
                  • Low maintenance, only moving parts are pumps.
